Description of chlorophyll
Chlorophyll is one half of a two-substance combination that converts light energy from the sun into
chemical energy in the leaves of plants. Chlorophyll has powerful anti-bacterial properties that enable it to
fight bad breath and other bacteria as well as work as an anti-inflammatory. Chlorophyll is associated with
healing wounds, reducing bacterial infections, relieving inflamed mucous membranes, aiding new tissue
growth, relieving gas and bloating and preventing gallstones. The benefits of chlorophyll are easy to obtain
by consuming any green vegetable including spinach, parsley, and other leafy plants. Chlorophyll is also
available in tablet, powder, or liquid form from a health store. There are no known side effects or
precautions for taking chlorophyll but it is also best to check with a physician before starting any new
medication or supplement.
